Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Background

Dr. Mirkhani trained in psychiatry at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, followed by advanced specialist training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at South West London and St George’s NHS Trust.

His experience covers a wide range of areas, including:
•    Neuropsychiatry
•    Neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism and ADHD
•    Family therapy
•    Eating disorders
•    Acute and complex mental health conditions

Dr. Mirkhani adopts a holistic and integrative approach, considering the biological, psychological, and social aspects of each young person’s mental health. He works collaboratively with families to:
•    Build understanding of emotional and behavioural difficulties
•    Develop practical coping strategies and resilience
•    Support positive family relationships and communication

He follows NICE guidelines and uses evidence-based treatments, prioritising patient safety, autonomy, and informed decision-making in all aspects of care.
