Biography

Mr Wei is a Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in knee surgery. He is focused on delivering outstanding care that is tailored to each patient's unique needs.

His practice encompasses all aspects of knee surgery, including sports knee injuries (meniscal tears and ligament ruptures), knee joint preservation (including cartilage regeneration), partial knee replacement, total knee replacement and patella stabilisation procedures.

He provides compassionate and bespoke care to help patients maintain knee function, restore mobility and improve quality of life.

Mr Wei is an alumnus of the University of St Andrews and the University of Manchester. He graduated from Manchester medical school in 2010 and worked tirelessly to gain entry onto the competitive Trauma & Orthopaedic specialist training programme within the southwest London region.

During his training, Mr Wei gained experience across the breadth of Trauma and Orthopaedic surgical care. His natural affinity towards leadership roles drove him to take on the role of President of the British Orthopaedic Trainees Association. Mr Wei’s experience in this national leadership role continues to help him drive improvements in the care of all his patients.

After completing his specialist training in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery, Mr Wei worked in Australia as a knee surgery fellow at the prestigious North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre alongside Dr David Wood to gain experience in treating elite athletes.

On his return to the UK, Mr Wei continued to perfect his skills in all aspects of knee surgery whilst working as a knee surgery fellow at Frimley Park Hospital.
