Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. Common symptoms include difficulty starting urination, a weak urine stream, and frequent or urgent needs to urinate, especially at night. NHS treatment ranges from lifestyle changes and medication to surgery.

Benign prostate enlargement

An enlarged prostate (sometimes called benign prostate enlargement) is when your prostate gets bigger. It's common and is not usually serious, but there are treatments that can help if you need them.

Urinary tract stones (kidney or bladder stones) are solid mineral and salt crystals that form in concentrated urine. While small stones pass unnoticed, larger ones can block urine flow and cause excruciating pain. Treatment ranges from watchful waiting to surgery.
